Mixed Week in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Aug 9/15 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets registered a mixed finish on the week under relatively light trading conditions.
Canada canaryseed markets continue to worry about the status of crops, adding support to both spot and new crop markets.
White proso millet markets in the United States were not as worried about production, resulting in a wider price spread between the two ingredients.
U.S. sunflower markets were easier despite a stronger finish to canola and soybean markets. Those are preparing for the impact of the coming weeks crop reports and supply-demand updates fro the USDA. Those reports are expected to provide a better base for estimating this years soybean output.
