ST. JOSEPH - Jul 31/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Jul 31.
WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW Grain and soybean bids were moderate to sharply lower for the week. Corn and soybeans found selling pressure over favorable growing conditions in the next week. Concerns that U.S. corn and soybeans are overpriced in the world market also pressured the market. Corn crop conditions were rated at 70 percent good to excellent up from 69 percent last week. Wheat saw declines with global supplies plentiful. Weekly export sales for corn came in neutral at 31.8 mb (808,200 mt), with 14.4 mb (364,900 mt) for the 2014-2015 marketing year. Export sales for soybeans were listed at 48.3 mb (1,315,800 mt), with 15.3 mb (416,700 mt) for the 2014-2015 marketing year. Wheat export sales were posted at 25.7 mb (700,400 mt). Wheat was 21-36 cents lower. Yellow Corn was 23-30 cents lower. Sorghum was 53-81 cents lower. Soybeans were 14-32 cents lower. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 21 to 22 cents lower from 5.66-5.81 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 2551 cents lower from 4.31-4.81 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 36 cents lower from 6.16 3/4-6.56 3/4 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was not available per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 61 to 63 cents lower from 3.56-3.65 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 24 to 29 cents lower from 3.68 1/4-3.69 1/4 per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 25 to 26 cents lower from 3.58-3.60 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 23 to 30 cents lower from 3.63 1/4-3.80 1/4 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 27 to 28 cents lower from 3.74 1/4-3.75 1/4 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 27 3/4 cents lower at 3.39 1/4 per bushel. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 1 1/2 cents lower to 3 1/2 cents higher from 2.55-2.90 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not available per bushel. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not available. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 72 to 81 cents lower from 6.85-6.94 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 53 to 54 cents lower from 6.51-6.76 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 32 3/4 cents lower at 9.60 1/4 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 14 3/4 to 30 3/4 cents lower from 10.27 1/4-10.45 1/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 26 3/4 cents lower at 10.08 1/4 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 10 cents to 3.10 higher from 379.10-387.10 per ton.
