Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 7/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will move over the north of the State today and a trough of low pressure over the southeast will weaken. A trough of low pressure will move over the far west late Wednesday and then extend over western and central districts during Thursday. A cold front will reach western coasts late Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayEarly fog patches about the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, tending to areas of morning fog in the southeast. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area and far south of the pastorals, grading to a medium chance over the southern agricultural area. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Mainly light winds.Wednesday 8 JulyEarly frost patches over parts of the North East Pastoral, Flinders and Mid North districts and Eyre Peninsula. Early fog patches about the Riverland, Murraylands and South East districts. A slight chance of a shower about Kangaroo Island, the far southwest of Eyre and Fleurieu Peninsulas, the South East districts and and near the eastern border south of Renmark. Slight chance of an evening shower about the Nullarbor Plain. Cool grading to mild in the north and west. Light to moderate northerly winds, turning southwesterly in the far west in the evening.Thursday 9 JulyA slight chance of showers extending across the State south of about Coober Pedy to Broken Hill, increasing to a medium chance about the agricultural area and far south of the North West Pastoral district and a high chance about the southern agricultural area and the West Coast south of about Ceduna. Chance of a thunderstorm about western districts. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southwesterly change in the west.Friday 10 July
A slight to medium chance of showers about central and eastern districts during the morning, then redeveloping about coastal districts late afternoon and evening. Generally cool with moderate southwesterly winds turning northwesterly then strengthening near western coasts.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm south of about Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek, reaching 5 to 10 mm over parts of the southern agricultural area and western and southern Eyre Peninsula and 10 to 15 mm about the southern Mount Lofty Ranges, Kangaroo Island, coastal parts of the Lower South East and near the west coast of Lower Eyre Peninsula.
Saturday until MondaySlight chance of showers south of about Coober Pedy grading to a high chance about the southern agricultural area and western and southern parts of Eyre Peninsula, easing during Sunday and contracting to the agricultural area and West Coast district. Cool to cold days with fresh to strong southwesterly winds extending throughout then easing.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
