Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 5/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A front will move across the south of South Australia today, with an associated low pressure system to the south. A high will move over the north of the State on Tuesday and a trough of low pressure will move into the far west on Wednesday, before extending to central districts late Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayThe slight chance of showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, grading to a high chance over the southern agricultural area, with a very high chance over southern coasts, the Lower South East and the southern Mount Lofty Ranges. The chance of thunderstorms south of about Lameroo to Maitland, contracting east during the day and clearing in the evening. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Mainly moderate north to northwesterly winds in the east ahead of a moderate west to southwesterly change, fresh about southern coasts.Tuesday 7 JulyEarly frost patches over the North East Pastoral and Flinders districts. Early fog patches over the ranges and Lower South East. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area, grading to a medium chance over the southern agricultural area. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Mainly light winds.Wednesday 8 JulyEarly frost patches over the North East Pastoral, Flinders and Mid North districts. Early fog patches in the east of the agricultural area. A slight chance of a morning shower about Kangaroo Island and the far southwest of Eyre Peninsula. The chance of an afternoon shower near the eastern border south of Lameroo. Chance of an evening shower about the Nullarbor Plain. Cool grading to mild in the north and west. Light to moderate northerly winds, turning southwest in the far west.Thursday 9 July
A slight chance of showers extending across the State south of about Coober Pedy to Broken Hill, increasing to a medium chance about southern coastal districts. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the north. Moderate northerly winds, fresh at times, turning southwesterly in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm south of about Leigh Creek, reaching 5 to 10 mm over parts of the southern agricultural area and 10 to 15 mm about the southern Mount Lofty Ranges and Lower South East district.
Friday until SundayA slight chance of showers about central and eastern parts clearing apart from about southern coasts, then showers developing south of about Leigh Creek on the weekend, more likely in the south. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
