MELBOURNE - Jul 4/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1025 hPa over New South Wales is moving slowly eastwards. A weak front will move across the far west late Sunday and the across the south and west of South Australia on Monday, with an associated low pressure system to the south. A high will move over the north of the State on Tuesday and a trough of low pressure will move into the far west on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayCold early with frost over and to the east of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges. Slight chance of showers developing south of about Elliston to Naracoorte during the afternoon or evening, more likely about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast late evening. The chance of a thunderstorm about western Kangaroo Island late evening. A cool day grading to mild in the west with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, turning westerly in the far west.Monday 6 JulyEarly frost patches over the North East Pastoral. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, grading to medium chance over the southern agricultural area, with a high to very high chance over southern coasts and the southern Mount Lofty Ranges. The chance of a thunderstorm south of about Keith. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Light to moderate north to northwest winds in the east ahead of a moderate west to southwest change.Tuesday 7 JulyEarly frost patches over the North East Pastoral. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area, grading to medium chance over the southern agricultural area and high about the Lower South East coast. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Mainly light winds.Wednesday 8 July A slight chance of morning showers about southern coasts and ranges. Chance of an evening shower about the Nullarbor Plain. Cool grading to mild in the north and west. Light to moderate northerly winds, turning southwest in the far west. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally less than 1 mm over the northern agricultural area, increasing to 1 to 5 mm about the southern agricultural area. Falls of 5 to 15 mm are possible about southern coasts, the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Lower South East.
