Little Change in Peas

VANCOUVER - Jun 27/15 - SNS -- Field pea markets were little changed in relatively light trading activity as markets worried about the status of crops in Saskatchewan.

Pulse crops in general are 37% behind normal development for this time of year, but field peas could be as much as 42% behind normal.

More importantly, there are reports of some fields flowering early because of heat stress. Without a general rain, concern is building about the yield potential of the Canadian crop.
