ST. JOSEPH - Jun 26/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Jun 26.
WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW Grain and soybean bids were higher for the week as quality concerns continue to affecting both Hard Red Winter Wheat and Soft Red Winter Wheat due to significant amount of rain late in the growing season. The same system has moved across the Midwest raising concerns over possible yield losses for corn and soybeans as wet conditions persist. The neutral to bullish export sales also lend support to corn and soybeans. The USDA lowered corn ratings from 73 percent good to excellent to 71 percent. Wheat was mostly 24-44 cents higher. Corn was mostly 14-20 cents higher. Sorghum was 33-34 cents higher. Soybeans were 10-16 cents higher. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 37 cents higher from 6.30 1/4-6.60 1/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 42 to 44 cents higher from 5.10-5.37 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 1/4 cent lower to 24 3/4 cents higher from 7.14 1/2-7.44 1/2 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was not available per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 8 to 16 cents higher from 3.71-3.84 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 15 1/2 to 16 1/2 cents higher from 3.83 1/2-3.84 1/2 per bushel. Omaha corn was 18 to 19 cents higher from 3.77-3.79 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 18 1/2 cents higher from 3.61 1/2-3.80 1/2 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 18 1/2 to 20 1/2 cents higher from 3.72 1/2-3.74 1/2 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 14 1/2 cents higher at 3.45 1/2 per bushel. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 2 cents higher from 2.75 3/4-3.15 3/4 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not available per bushel. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not available. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 33 cents higher at 7.44 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 33 to 34 cents higher from 6.99-7.37 per bushel. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 10 1/2 cents higher at 9.78 1/4 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 12 1/4 to 14 1/4 cents higher from 10.10-10.25 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 16 1/4 higher at 10.22 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 8.10 to 12.10 higher from 348.70-354.70 per ton.
