U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Jun 22/15 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long and medium grain milled rice prices steady to weak.  Parboiled
and Second Heads prices steady.  Brewers rice prices steady to 1.00 lower.  Rice by-
products:  Rice Bran and Millfeed prices steady to weak.  Ground hulls not well
tested.  Domestic demand remains good as mills continue processing regular customer
orders.  As of Jun 21, NASS reporting new crop rice condition as mostly fair to good.
LA 22%, MS 11% and Texas 2% headed out with other states not registering at this
time.
   In California, medium grain milled rice prices steady to firm.  Second heads and
Brewers rice prices mostly steady.  Rice by-products:  Rice Bran prices steady;
ground hull prices not well tested.  Mills continue processing regular customer
orders.  However, mills will need to, more frequently, reevaluate their rough rice
supplies as old crop inventories are depleted.  As of Jun 21, NASS reporting
California new crop rice condition as good to excellent with 10% headed out.
   CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday Jun 19th, Jly 15 closed .095 lower at 9.72;
Sep 15 closed .09 lower at 9.975; Nov 15 closed .085 lower at 10.25.  US dollar index
on Friday settled at 94.09.  NASS Rice stocks report will be release on June 30.
