Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 25/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over eastern New South Wales will move slowly eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea by Wednesday night. An upper level disturbance is expected to develop in the west of the State early this week, followed by a series of weak fronts that will pass to the south of the State from mid-week.
Forecast for the rest of MondayAreas of mid to high cloud with a slight chance of showers over the North West Pastoral, West Coast and Eyre Peninsula. Cool with mainly light northeast to northerly winds.Tuesday 26 MayAreas of high cloud. The slight chance of showers extending from the west, reaching central and eastern districts in the afternoon or evening. Showers more likely over the south of the North West Pastoral and in the Flinders district. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds.Wednesday 27 MayAreas of high cloud. The slight chance of showers, except for over the Murraylands and Mount Lofty Ranges districts and in the far north east of the State. Showers more likely west of about Woomera, and tending to areas of rain. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds.Thursday 28 MayA high chance of rain moving across the northern agricultural area, Flinders district and Pastoral districts, except in the far northeast. The chance of showers about the southern agricultural area, more likely closer to the southern coasts. Cool to mild generally, but warmer in the far northeast. Light winds, tending light to moderate northwest to southwesterly over the agricultural area.Friday 29 May
A medium chance of rain north of about Woomera to Broken Hill, contracting northwards, and also clearing in the northeast during the day. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area, more likely near southern coasts. Cool to mild grading to warm in the far northeast. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northwest to southwesterly in the south.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the Flinders and Pastoral districts, but easing to less than 1 mm in the far northeast. 1 to 5 mm is expected further south, with possible falls of 5 to 10 mm in the Lower South East.
Saturday until MondayThe medium chance of rain over the north of Pastoral districts clearing by Monday. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area, mainly over the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild with mainly moderate northwest to southwest winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
