Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 25/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system over the New South Wales coast will be slow-moving during tonight and Tuesday but will continue to extend a ridge across Victoria. A cold front crossing the Bight on Tuesday will weaken and slide away to the southeast on Wednesday, as a second front approaches from the southwest. This front will enter the southwest of the State on Thursday night, moving rapidly across the remainder of the State early on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayGenerally clear with light winds.Tuesday 26 MayMorning fog and frost patches in the east. A mild and mainly sunny day although cloud increasing over the west late in the day with isolated showers to follow over the west. Light winds tending north to northeasterly over western and central districts.Wednesday 27 MayPartly cloudy. Scattered showers developing over the southwest with isolated showers possible overt the northeastern ranges. Cool to mild with generally light to moderate northwest to northerly winds, freshening over the southwest.Thursday 28 MayScattered showers tending to areas of rain in the north and southwest. A cool day with moderate to locally fresh northerly winds later tending northwesterly.Friday 29 MayScattered showers, mainly in southern and mountain districts. Local thunderstorms in the south.
