Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 3/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure is off the coast of New South Wales with a weak low centre in the north. A high over South Australia is expected to move over the state by Monday. These systems are expected to move further eastward during Monday. Several cold fronts are then expected to cross the south of the state during Tuesday and Wednesday, with gusty winds possible in the south.
Forecast for the rest of MondayHigh chance of showers around Port Stephens and the lower Mid North Coast this morning. Slight chance of showers on the north coast, clearing by the evening. Areas of morning fog. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 5 MaySlight to medium chance of showers over the southern inland, increasing to a high chance over the southern alps with possible snow falling above 1500 metres. Fine and mostly sunny in the north. West to northwest winds gradually tending southwest later with winds strengthening over the southern parts.Wednesday 6 MaySlight to medium chance of showers over the southern slopes and adjacent ranges, with possible snow above 1500 metres. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Westerly winds in the south tending southerly in the north.Thursday 7 MaySlight to medium chance of showers over the southern slopes and adjacent ranges, with possible snow above 1400 metres. The slight chance of a shower about the coastal fringe in the far north. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere.
