World Bean Markets Under Pressure

VANCOUVER - May 1/15 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week on an easier note, while North American markets were steady to firmer.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. origin pulses, which advanced 0.3 points on the week to finish at 150.9.

The world export price index for pulses managed gains on the week, finishing up 0.5 points at 179.2 because of strength in lentils. Canada's special crop index rose 0.8 points to finish the week at 185.7.
