Birdseeds Unchanged to Firmer
VANCOUVER - Apr 10/15 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were unchanged to firmer in the past week, helped by consistent demand from birdseed packagers.
The U,S.-based National Sunflower Association notes that "the birdfood market still giving support to old and new crop (sunflower) prices. The birdfood market continues to trade at a premium to crush plant prices.
"The USDA Planting Intentions Report for 2015 sunflower acres was in line with trade expectations. This has resulted in sunflower prices remaining strong gaining 40-45 cents per cwt. so far this month."
