MELBOURNE - Mar 28/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system is extending a ridge across New South Wales, bringing mostly dry and settled weather. Generally light winds should turn northeasterly today as the high establishes itself over the Tasman Sea, where it will remain for much of the new week. A trough of low pressure is expected to develop over the north of the state on Monday and in combination with an upper level trough, unsettled weather should return to the northeastern half from Monday. Forecast for the rest of SundaySlight chance of a shower about the northern ranges and coast. Early fog and frost patches about the southern ranges. Fine and partly cloudy over the remainder. Northeast to northwesterly winds near the coast, and generally light winds inland.Monday 30 MarchShowers in the northeast with the chance of thunderstorms. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeasterly winds near the coast, south to southeasterly winds inland.Tuesday 31 MarchShowers in the northeast and on the south and central coasts. The chance of thunderstorms over the northeast.
