Beans Unchanged to Easier

VANCOUVER - Mar 21/15 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were unchanged to slightly lower in relatively quiet trading conditions.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. origin pulses, which slipped 0.51 points on the week to 151.32. The world export price index for pulses was also down, losing 1.1 points to finish the week at 174.1. Canada's special crop index dropped 1.9 points to finish the week at 182.5.

Seeding of Argentina's dry edible bean crops is now complete, with processors and growers optimistic about yield prospects. Even so, they are maintaining asking prices for both old and new crop product.
