Mixed Week in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Mar 21/15 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note.
Canadian canaryseed was nominally easier, with product available from growers continuing to meet the short term needs of most processors.
U.S. white proso millet and confection sunflower were unchanged on the week, while oil-type sunflower advanced in sympathy with soybeans.
Markets are also concerned that the drought situation grew worse in the Upper Midwest and is projected to persist beyond the planting season.
