Bean Buyers Readying for New Crop

VANCOUVER - Mar 14/15 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished trading on a mixed note, with buyers for black and white beans influenced by the proximity of new crop supplies from Argentina and Egypt.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. origin pulses, which slipped 0.25 points on the week to 151.83.

By contrast, the world export price index for pulses gained 0.7 points to finish the week at 175.8. Canada's special crop index inched 0.2 points higher to finish the week at 185.3.
