Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 3/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A middle level cloud band will persist over the west of the State for the next few days. A cold front will move across the southeast of the State late Wednesday and early Thursday. A high southwest of Perth will then extend a ridge of high pressure over the Bight on Friday and the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayThe chance of patchy rain in the west, contracting to west of about Ceduna to Tarcoola early this morning. The slight chance of showers developing over southern coasts during the day, extending over the southern agricultural area in the evening and becoming more likely in the Lower South East. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot to very hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds, tending westerly in the southeast.Thursday 5 MarchThe chance of patchy rain over the Northwest Pastoral west of Roxby Downs. The slight chance of showers over the southern agricultural area and south of the Flinders district and near remaining coasts. Cool in the south grading to warm to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 6 MarchThe chance of patchy rain over the west of the Northwest Pastoral. The slight chance of showers about southern coasts. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Saturday 7 March
The chance of patchy rain over the west of the Northwest Pastoral. The slight chance of showers about the southern and far west coasts. Cool to mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate west to southwest winds, tending southerly in the west and north.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm, with possible falls of 2 to 5 mm in the Lower South East and 2 to 10 mm near the western border.
Sunday until TuesdayThe chance of showers about southern coasts, extending over the southern agricultural area and west coast on Monday, then contracting back to the coasts on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
