Little Change in Dry Bean Markets

VANCOUVER - Feb 27/15 - SNS -- The world's dry edible bean markets were little changed in light trade during the past week.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. origin pulses, was unchanged on the week at 152.05 partly supported by tight inventories of dark red kidneys, small red beans, and black beans.

The world export price index for pulses was nominally higher on rising Australian prices, gaining 0.4 points to finish the week at 174.9. Canada's special crop index slipped 0.6 points to finish the week at 185.5.
