USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Feb 20/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Feb 20.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, grain bids were higher for the week, with soybeans
leading the way.  Soybeans had good gains on sharply higher soybean meal and a
lower than expected NOPA soybean crush.  Early estimated planted acres of
soybeans were also lower than expected at 83.5 million acres.  Corn had early
planting projections at 89 million acres, pretty much in line with estimates,
but lowest number in 4 years.  Weekly export sales for corn came in at 42.3 mb
with 36.7 mb for 2014-2015 marketing year.  Soybeans had weekly export sales of
22.8 mb with 18.6 mb for 2014-2015 marketing year.  Wheat had weekly export
sales of 11.2 mb with 9.8 mb for 2014-2015 marketing year.  Wheat was mostly 6-
15 cents higher.  Yellow Corn was mostly 6-8 cents higher with sorghum trading
11-12 cents higher.  Soybeans were 23-28 cents higher.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 7
1/2 cents lower from 6.36 1/2-6.46 1/2 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red
winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter
terminal bid was 6 cents higher from 5.27-5.39 per bushel.  Minneapolis and
Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 15
1/4-21 1/4 cents higher 7.59 1/2 to 7.65 1/2 per bushel.  Portland US Soft White
wheat rail was not available per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 1 to 3 cents higher from 3.82-
3.91 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 8 3/4 cents higher
from 3.81 3/4-3.83 3/4 per bushel.  Omaha corn was 7 cents higher at 3.80 per
bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 6 3/4-8 3/4 cents higher from 3.73 3/4-
3.91 3/4 per bushel.  Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 6 3/4 cents higher
from 3.76 3/4-3.81 3/4 per bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 6
3/4 cents higher at 3.62 3/4 per bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 3 3/4-8 3/4 cents higher from 2.92-3.32 per bushel.  US No 3 or better
rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was 2.70 per
bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 12 cents higher at 6.96 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was 11-12 cents higher 7.23-7.48 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 23 1/2 cents higher at 9.52
1/4 bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 23 1/2 cents
higher from 10.13 1/4-10.27 1/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck
soybeans were 28 1/2 cents higher at 10.22 1/4 per bushel.  Illinois 48 percent
Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 15.00-17.00 higher from 373.50-382.50 per
ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 18-43 points lower
from 31.33-32.08 cents per pound.
