USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Feb 13/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Feb 13.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, grain bids were slight to moderately lower with
soybeans trading higher.  Grains all closed lower on Tuesday, after USDA
released its supply and demand report.  The report was neutral at best which
pressured the row crops.  However, soybeans closed the week in positive
territory on good export sales.  USDA pegged US ending stocks for corn at 1.827
bb, down 50 mb from last month’s report.  USDA trimmed feed use by 25 mb, but
boosted corn for ethanol use by 75 mb.  US soybeans were reduced by 25 mb,
crushing’s increased by 15 mb.  USDA increased Argentina’s production by 1 mmt,
and dropped Brazil’s by 1 mmt.  Wheat had ending stocks increased by 5 mb and
with a strengthen US dollar imports were reduced by 20 mb and exports declined
by 25 mb.  Weekly export sales of corn was listed at 44.1 mb (1,120,800 mt),
with 39.5 mb (1,003,100 mt) for the 2014-2015 marketing year.  Export sales for
soybeans came in at 27.4 mb (746,200 mt) with 27.4 mb (745,400 mt) for the 2014-
2015 marketing year.  Export sales for wheat were reported at 15.4 mb (418,800
mt), with 15.0 mb (409,300 mt) for the 2014-2015 marketing year. Wheat was
mostly 4-14 cents lower.  Yellow Corn was steady to 4 cents lower.  Sorghum was
4-5 cents lower.  Soybeans were 2-7 cents higher.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 10
cents lower from 6.44-6.54 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail
bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 4
cents lower from 5.21-5.33 per bushel.  Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark
Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 14 3/4 cents lower to 30
1/4 cents higher at 7.44 1/4 per bushel.  Portland US Soft White wheat rail was
not available per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 7 to 8 cents higher from 3.81-
3.88 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 2 1/4 cents lower
from 3.73-3.75 per bushel.  Omaha corn was steady to 2 cents lower at 3.73 per
bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 4 1/4 cents lower from 3.67-3.85 per
bushel.  Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 1/4 to 4 1/4 cents lower from 3.70-
3.73 per bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 2 1/4 cents lower at
3.56 per bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 14 1/2 cents lower from 2.88 1/4-3.23 1/4 per bushel.  US No 3 or better
rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis no bid per
bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 4 cents lower at 6.84 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was 4 to 5 cents lower from 7.11-7.37 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 2 1/2 cents higher at 9.28
3/4 per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 2 1/2 to
5 1/2 cents higher from 9.89 3/4-10.03 3/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2
Yellow truck soybeans were 7 1/2 cents higher at 9.93 3/4 per bushel.  Illinois
48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 90 cents lower from 358.50-
365.50 per ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 30 points
higher from 31.51-32.51 cents per pound.
