Bullish Lentil Fundamentals

VANCOUVER - Feb 6/15 - SNS -- North American lentil markets finished the week on a mixed note, reflecting the impact of currency fluctuations.

Even so, the underlying fundamentals remain bullish, with unsold inventories in both the United States and Canada dropping to levels which will likely result in demand rationing.

This is clear for Canada, with Statistics Canada reporting that stocks in all positions on December 31 totaled just 755,000 metric tons (MT), the lowest level since 2008.
