Mixed Week in Dry Beans

VANCOUVER - Jan 30/15 - SNS -- The world's dry edible bean markets registered a mixed performance during the week against relatively good demand.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. origin pulses, which slipped 0.9 points to finish at 149.9 on strength in minor classes of dry beans.

The world export price index for pulses was helped by strength in lentils, inching it up 0.1 points to finish the week at 170.5. Canada's special crop index gained 0.8 points to finish the week at 184.4 on the strength of lentil markets.
