Lentils Nominally Easier

VANCOUVER - Jan 11/15 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week unchanged to nominally easier under relatively light trading activity.

The Saskatchewan Pulse Growers annual meeting and CropSphere conferences in Saskatoon was somewhat of a distraction at week's end as Canadian processors and exporters finalized new crop grower bids.

New crop red lentil bids to growers are starting between U.S. $335 and $450 per metric ton (MT) for farmers dressed merchandise delivered western Canadian processing plants. By contrast, spot bids finished the week between $450 and $620 MT.
