Holiday Slowness in Beans

VANCOUVER - Jan 2/15 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets remain relatively quiet as traders in most countries continue their calendar year end holiday celebrations.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. origin pulses, which remained nominally unchanged at 144.6.

By contrast, the world pulse price index finished the week 2.5 points higher at 164.1 as some markets respond to reduced rabi season pulse plantings in India.
