Lentil Markets Finish Firmer

VANCOUVER - Dec 12/14 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the weed mixed in the face of slowing demand as markets start to shift into Christmas and New Year's holiday mode.

Markets in the United States posted solid gains on the week, with inter-dealer markets reaching U.S. $42 per 100 pounds (cwt), while Canadian markets were easier.

Spreads between the two origins had increased on account of lower average quality in Canada, which had lowered price expectations among buyers.
