USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Dec 5/14 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Dec 5.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, grain and soybean bids closed mixed.  Corn continues
to rally on good demand.  Soybeans posted losses due to favorable growing
weather in South America.  Wheat was mixed finding some support from worries of
Russia possibly putting export restrictions.  However, bearish weekly export
sales added pressure.  Weekly export sales for corn were good coming in at 46.1
mb (1,170,700 mt), with all for the 2014-2015 marketing year.  Export sales for
soybeans were above estimates listed at 43.3 mb (1,179,700 mt) with all for the
2014-2015 marketing year.  Weekly export sales for wheat were bearish coming in
at 11.5 mb (313,200 mt), with 11.7 mb (319,200 mt) for the 2014-2015 marketing
year.  Wheat was 34 cents lower to 47 cents higher.  Yellow Corn was mostly 1-16
cents higher.  Sorghum was 6 cents higher.  Soybeans were 27-31 cents lower.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 9
1/4 cents higher from 7.40 1/2-7.60 1/2 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft
Red winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter
terminal bid was 42 to 47 cents higher from 5.89-6.04 per bushel.  Minneapolis
and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was
24 1/4 to 34 1/4 cents lower from 7.93 1/2-8.18 1/2 per bushel.  Portland US
Soft White wheat rail was 8 to 17 3/4 cents lower from 6.85-7.34 3/4 per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 1 to 7 cents lower from 3.70-
3.81 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 8 1/2 to 9 1/2 cents
higher from 3.57 3/4-3.61 3/4.  Omaha US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 1 to 2 cents
higher from 3.64-3.66 per bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 1/2 cent
lower to 4 1/4 cents higher from 3.54 3/4-3.79 3/4 per bushel.  Toledo US No 2
rail Yellow corn was 11 1/2 to 13 1/2 cents higher from 3.65 3/4-3.69 3/4 per
bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 16 1/2 cents higher at 3.49
3/4 per bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 17 to 31 cents higher from 3.27-3.62 per bushel.  US No 3 or better rail
malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was steady at 7.35
per bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not
available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 6 cents higher at 7.08 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was from 6.45-7.32 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 27 1/2 cents lower at 9.64
1/2 per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 29 1/2
to 31 1/2 cents lower from 10.15 1/2-10.25 1/2 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2
Yellow truck soybeans were 31 1/2 cents lower at 10.00 1/2 per bushel.  Illinois
48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 17.90 to 25.90 higher from
425.70-440.70 per ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 188
to 213 points lower from 31.10-33.10 cents per pound.
