Smaller Brazil Crop Steadies Beans

VANCOUVER - Nov 28/14 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets registered a mixed performance during the past week against improved end user demand for most classes of product.

A modest downward revision in the projected size of Brazil's 2014-15 crop from 3.22 to 3.18 million metric tons (MT) helped steady colored bean markets by reminding markets that country will likely need to expand purchases beyond Argentina.

Most of the good quality black beans available from Argentina have already been sold and shipped.
