Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 23/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough lies across NSW bringing bringing unsettled conditions to most districts. On Monday a stronger cold front with milder southerly winds behind will move through the west and southeast of the state during the day before weakening into a trough over the far northeast on Tuesday. Behind the front a high pressure system will move very slowly towards Tasmania strengthening a ridge throughout the state and generally stabilising conditions by the end of the weak, particularly over the inland.
Forecast for the rest of MondayPartly cloudy in the northeast. A medium chance of showers and thunderstorms in the west of the state grading to a very high chance in the east, with the peak of the activity occurring in the afternoon and evening. The showers and thunderstorms will clear in the southwest later. Hot in the north. Mainly northeast to northwesterly winds, turning milder southerly in the west during the day.Fire Danger -  Very High for the Far North Coast, North Coast, Greater Hunter, Central Ranges, New England, Northern Slopes, North Western, Upper and Lower Central West Plains and Southern Slopes.Tuesday 25 NovemberMedium chance of showers in the northeast and on the southern half of the coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of thunderstorms in the northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Milder southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout.Wednesday 26 NovemberMedium chance of showers in the northeast and on the southern half of the coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of thunderstorms in the northeast. Mostly sunny over the inland. Southeast to southwesterly winds tending east to northeasterly in the northeast.Thursday 27 NovemberMedium chance of showers in the northeast grading to a slight chance on the southern half of the coast and adjacent ranges.
