Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 23/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure over central parts of the State will move northeastwards to reach Moomba late evening. A high pressure system will develop southwest of the Bight on Monday and Tuesday as a weak front passes to the south. The high will then move slowly eastwards south of the State on Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayShowers and isolated thunderstorms over most districts, contracting to the pastoral districts early afternoon, then to the far northeast by evening. Higher likelihood of showers and thunderstorms southeast of Adelaide during the morning and showers continuing over the Lower South East in the afternoon and evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to very hot in the northeast. Moderate to fresh northerly winds in the northeast, ahead of a fresh southwest to southerly change extending to Moomba late evening.Tuesday 25 NovemberA slight chance of showers about southern coasts and the Lower South East district. The chance of thunderstorms in the far northeast. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the northeast. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 26 NovemberFine apart from a slight chance of showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. The chance of thundery showers in the far northeast in the afternoon and evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to hot in the north with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds.Thursday 27 November
Fine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh about the coasts during the afternoon.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to10 mm southeast of Adelaide and in the far northeast corner with generally less than 2 mm over the remainder. Local falls of 10 to 20 mm are possible with thunderstorms.
Friday until SundayChance of showers developing in the far west on Friday and extending to reach a line near Ceduna to Coober Pedy on Saturday then across most districts on Sunday. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot inland then becoming hot throughout on Saturday. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, turning northerly on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
