Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over northeastern Victoria will clear the State during the morning. A high pressure ridge will briefly extend across Victoria today ahead of a low pressure trough and cold front which will rapidly cross the State on Monday. Another cold front will move across Victoria on Tuesday night then a high pressure system over the Bight will drift slowly eastwards to be near Tasmania by Wednesday night.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms over eastern districts contracting to the far northeast then mostly clearing during the afternoon. Isolated showers developing in the southwest later in the evening and tending to rain at night. Generally warm to hot inland with light westerly winds but milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Fire Danger -  Generally high.Monday 24 NovemberScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Mild to warm northerly winds ahead of a cooler, fresh southwesterly change extending from the west early in the morning to reach eastern areas during the afternoon.Tuesday 25 NovemberIsolated showers in the south but dry north of the divide. A cool to mild day with moderate southwesterly winds, fresh near the coast.Wednesday 26 NovemberIsolated showers in the south, mainly during the morning. Dry in the north. Cool to mild in the south, warmer in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, fresh at times near the coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Sunday.Product IDV10310
