Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure near Port Augusta to Adelaide will reach Broken Hill to Coober Pedy late this evening. Another trough will move over the west and far south of the State on Sunday then extend to the far northeast corner on Monday as a high develops southwest of the Bight early in the week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayShowers and thunderstorms east of the Mt Lofty Ranges clearing during the evening. Showers and Thunderstorms northeast of about Berri to Giles. Hot to very hot in the north, warm in the south. Moderate to fresh northerly winds in the north and east, ahead of a milder fresh southwest to southerly change extending from the west to reach a line Broken Hill to Coober Pedy late evening.Sunday 23 NovemberThe chance of thundery showers over the northern agricultural area, Pastoral and Flinders districts. A slight chance of showers developing over the southern agricultural area in the late afternoon and evening. Warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light winds, tending moderate to fresh northerly in the north and a moderate to fresh southerly change in the west.Monday 24 NovemberA slight chance of showers over the agricultural area grading to high over the Southeast districts. Thundery showers developing over the North East pastoral district during the afternoon. Cool to mild in the south, grading to very hot in the northeast. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds in the northeast, ahead of a fresh southwest to southerly change extending to Moomba late evening.Tuesday 25 NovemberA slight chance of showers about southern coasts and the Lower South East district. The chance of thunderstorms in the far northeast. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the northeast. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 26 November
Fine apart from a slight chance of showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. The chance of thundery showers in the far northeast in the afternoon and evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to hot in the north with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to10 mm over the southern agricultural area, possibly reaching 10 to 15 mm about the Lower South East coast. Falls of 2 to 10 mm with thunderstorms with possible isolated falls of 10 to 20 mm. Less than 2 mm is expected elsewhere.
Thursday until SaturdayFine on Thursday then a slight chance of showers developing in the far west on Friday and extending to reach a line near Ceduna to Coober Pedy on Saturday. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot inland then becoming hot throughout on Saturday. Moderate southeasterly winds turning moderate to fresh northeasterly during Friday then easing on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
