USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Nov 21/14 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Nov 21.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, grain and soybean bids closed lower with wheat trading
mixed.  Corn and soybeans were lower as harvest is near.  Corn harvest was 89
percent completed and soybeans at 94 percent early in the week.  Winter wheat
was at 95 percent planted with 87 percent emerged.  NOPA listed soybean crush at
158 million bushels for October which was more than expected.  Weekly export
sales of corn came in at 35.8 mb (908,700 mt), with all for the 2014-2015
marketing year.  Export sales for soybeans came in at 17.9 mb (487,500 mt) with
17.7 mb (483,000 mt) for the 2014-2015 marketing year.  Wheat export sales were
listed at 13.3 mb (361,700 mt), with all for the 2014-2015 marketing year.  The
forecast for the Plains and Midwest calls for some moisture over the weekend and
temperature highs in the 50’s in some areas.  Wheat was 26 cents lower to 24
cents higher.  Corn was 1-19 cents lower.  Sorghum was mostly 23 cents lower.
Soybeans were 18-33 cents higher.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 3
cents lower from 7.12 1/4-7.37 1/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red
winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter
terminal bid was 1 cent lower to 24 cents higher from 5.22-5.47 per bushel.
Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent
protein rail, was 10 1/4 to 15 1/4 cents higher from 8.24 1/2-8.44 1/2 per
bushel.  Portland US Soft White wheat rail was 3 to 26 1/2 cents lower from
6.75-7.27 1/4 per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 6 to 7 cents lower from 3.65-
3.78 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 3 cents lower to 2
cents higher at 3.43 1/4 per bushel.  Omaha US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 1 to 3
cents lower at 3.53 per bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 3 to 13 cents
lower from 3.45 1/4-3.73 1/4 per bushel.  Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 13
to 16 cents lower from 3.45 1/4-3.51 1/4 per bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow
corn rail was 19 cents lower at 3.28 1/4 per bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 8 to 13 cents lower from 3.31 3/4-3.75 3/4 per bushel.  US No 3 or
better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was
steady at 7.35 per bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export
was not available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 23 cents lower at 6.67 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was 23 cents lower to 4 cents higher from 6.40-6.93 per
cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 28 cents lower at 9.65 1/2
per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 28 to 33
cents lower from 10.10 1/2-10.30 1/2 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Yellow
truck soybeans were 18 cents lower at 10.05 1/2 per bushel.  Illinois 48 percent
Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 27.70 to 33.70 lower from 412.80-435.80 per
ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 60 to 85 points
higher from 32.17-34.67 cents per pound.
