Hot to very hot conditions will spread through much of western, central and southern Queensland, particularly inland parts where enhanced fire dangers are also likely.Sunday 26 OctoberTemperatures will increase further through western, central and southern Queensland, leading to enhanced fire dangers. The heat and instability will likely result in some showers and gusty storms over the southeast of the state, particularly inland parts. Instability will spread further through the interior with possible showers and gusty storms, though with little rainfall given the lack of moisture. Fine and sunny conditions are expected elsewhere apart from the slight chance of showers in the very far northern tropics.Monday until WednesdayHot to very hot conditions will likely persist through much of northwestern, central and southeastern Queensland during the outlook period. A new high should enter the Great Australian Bight on Tuesday and this should extend a cooler airmass into the southern interior of the state, providing some relief from the heat. A broad area of instability will most likely generate some showers and storms from the northwest of the state through central and southeast parts. Mostly fine conditions are expected in the tropics, with just the slight chance of showers about far northern parts. The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Thursday.Product IDQ10700 Notice Board MetEye extended into Queensland Queensland's improving weather services --> Rainfall Forecast Terminology Media Releases Marketing Meteorological Offices Cairns weather Charleville weather Longreach weather Mackay weather Mount Isa weather Rockhampton weather Townsville weather Weipa weather Other Information About Weather Forecast Services About Warning Services Warnings Water Climate Environment Tropical Cyclones Tsunami Warning Centre Agriculture - Water and the Land Marine & Ocean UV & Sun Protection Rainfall & River Conditions Graphical Views Radar Maps Rainfall Forecasts Seasonal Outlooks Climate Variability & Change Climate Data Online Seasonal Streamflow Forecasts Water Storage MetEye™ National Weather Services Aviation Weather Services Defence Services Space Weather Services Registered User Services Commercial Weather Services Business Entry Point Facebook Google+ Youtube Blog Careers Sitemap Feedback Freedom of Information Indigenous Weather Knowledge Glossary This page was created at 22:15 on Wednesday 22 October 2014 (GMT) © Copyright Commonwealth of Australia 2014, Bureau of Meteorology (ABN 92 637 533 532) | Disclaimer | Privacy | Accessibility var hostname = window.location.hostname; var host = hostname.split("."); if (host[0] == "reg") var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-20386085-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); else if (host[0] == "wdev") var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-21709175-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); else var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-3816559-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ?
