Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough near the eastern border of the State will move over the eastern states this evening. A high pressure system to the south of the Bight will move east to be centred over the Tasman Sea by Friday. Another low pressure trough will move over the State on Friday. A more significant trough will extend from the west during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated thundery showers over eastern districts, clearing by evening. Possible drizzle about southern coasts during the evening. A cool to mild evening in the south, remaining warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds extending to most districts. Moderate northerly winds in the far northeast.Thursday 23 OctoberPossible drizzle about southern coasts and southern parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges during the morning. Slight chance of thundery showers west of Coober Pedy to Ceduna. Fine elsewhere. Mild to warm near the coasts grading to hot to very hot inland. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northeast to northwesterly in the north.Friday 24 OctoberFine apart from the slight chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms southwest of Pukatja to Broken Hill and northeast of Tarcoola to Renmark. Warm near the coasts grading to hot to very hot in the far north. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds ahead of a moderate southwest to southerly wind change extending from the west during the afternoon and evening.Saturday 25 OctoberFine apart from possible morning drizzle about southern coasts and the slight chance of thundery showers west of Coober Pedy to Nullarbor. Mild to warm near the coasts, grading to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to southwesterly winds, fresh about the coasts during the afternoon.Sunday 26 October
Slight chance of showers west of Coober Pedy to Keith, with possible thunder west of Coober Pedy to Clare to Port Lincoln. Fine elsewhere. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds in the morning, ahead of a cooler, fresh southwesterly change in the west in the afternoon, extending eastwards overnight.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm.
Monday until WednesdayPossible thundery showers northwest of Coober Pedy to Broken Hill on Monday. The slight chance of showers over southern districts on Monday and Tuesday, increasing to a medium chance of showers over the Lower South East. Showers contracting to southern coasts on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
