Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 21/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea. A low pressure trough will reach western Victoria during Wednesday afternoon before moving eastwards and weakening. A new high pressure system will build to the south of Tasmania on Thursday before merging with the Tasman Sea high on Friday. Another low pressure trough will approach western Victoria from the west on Friday before moving across the State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds and coastal seabreezes.Wednesday 22 OctoberCloud increasing from the west with isolated thundery showers developing over the southwest during the day and extending to the Central district later. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds shifting cooler southwesterly in the west later.Thursday 23 OctoberFine over the north. Isolated showers over the south contracting to East Gippsland during the afternoon. Cool to mild and mostly cloudy in the south. Warm and mainly sunny in the north. Light to moderate southerly winds extending throughout.Friday 24 OctoberFine over the north and west. Isolated showers possible in the southeast during the morning. Mild to warm with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Saturday 25 OctoberIsolated showers possible over the southwest and southeast. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild in the south but warm over the north.
