Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 20/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Tasmania will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A low pressure trough over the far west of the State will move east, reaching eastern parts of the State mid week, followed by another high moving to the south of the Bight, which will reach the Tasman Sea by Friday. Another low pressure trough will move over the State on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated thundery showers west of Nullarbor. Mild near southern coasts grading to hot in the northwest. Moderate east to northeasterly winds, ahead of a moderate southwest to southeasterly change in the far west, extending eastwards to reach Ceduna to Tarcoola towards midnight.Tuesday 21 OctoberIsolated thundery showers west of Ceduna, extending eastwards to reach areas west of Coober Pedy to Port Augusta to Victor Harbor towards midnight. Possible raised dust over the Northwest Pastoral and Eyre Peninsula. A hot day grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds. A milder, moderate southwest to southerly change extending from the west, reaching the Central and Mid North districts late evening.Wednesday 22 OctoberIsolated thundery showers over the agricultural area, contracting eastwards to clear the eastern border mid afternoon. Mild to warm near the coasts grading to hot to very hot in the northeast. Light northeast to northerly winds, tending moderate southwest to southeasterly over most districts except the North East Pastoral north of about Leigh Creek.Thursday 23 OctoberFine apart from the slight chance of showers about southern and western coasts, clearing by midday. Mild to warm near the coasts grading to hot to very hot in the far north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northeast to northwesterly in the north.Friday 24 October
Fine. Warm near the coasts grading to hot to very hot in the far north. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, tending southwest to southeasterly in the afternoon or evening, except in the northeast.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be negligible.
Saturday until MondayFine apart from the slight chance of showers in the Lower South East and about southern and western coasts on Monday. Mild to warm near the coasts, grading to very hot in the north, ahead of a milder southwest to southerly change extending northwards on Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
