MELBOURNE - Oct 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system will pass to the south of Victoria on Monday then drift eastwards over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. Another low pressure trough will reach western Victoria later on Wednesday then move slowly eastwards, reaching far eastern Victoria on Thursday night. Forecast for the rest of MondayFine apart from the medium chance of showers over Gippsland contracting to the east during the morning, then clearing during the afternoon. Warm inland but cooler in the south with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds. Morning cloud in the south, otherwise a mostly sunny day.Tuesday 21 OctoberFine and mostly sunny. A warm to hot day with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds. Milder afternoon sea breezes along the coast.Wednesday 22 OctoberFine until possible drizzle in the southwest at night. Cloud increasing from the west. Warm to hot with moderate northerly winds, shifting cooler southwesterly in the west later.Thursday 23 OctoberFine apart from morning drizzle over the southwest and afternoon showers near the eastern ranges. Cool to mild and mostly cloudy, although warm in the far north.
