Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight will move eastwards, reaching the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A low pressure trough over the far west of the State on Monday will also move east, reaching eastern parts of the State mid week, followed by another high moving to the south of the Bight.
Forecast for the rest of MondaySlight chance of thundery showers in the far west during the late afternoon and evening, more likely near the western border. Mild near southern coasts grading to hot over the remainder, tending very hot in the far west. Moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh to strong and gusty about coasts and ranges early morning, tending fresh and gusty northeasterly in the west for the morning period. A moderate south to southeasterly change in the west late afternoon or evening.Tuesday 21 OctoberSlight chance of thundery showers over western districts. Warm to hot near southern and western coasts, hot over the remainder, tending very hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northeast to northerly winds. Possible raised dust over the Northwest Pastoral and adjacent districts. A milder, moderate southerly change extending over western districts during the day.Wednesday 22 OctoberSlight chance of thundery showers near southern coasts early morning. Fine elsewhere. Mild to warm near the coasts grading to hot to very hot in the northeast. Light northeast to northerly winds, tending moderate southwest to southeasterly over the agricultural area and in the west.Thursday 23 October
Fine apart from the slight chance of showers about southern and western coasts, clearing by midday. Mild to warm near the coasts grading to hot to very hot in the far north. Moderate south to southeasterly winds, tending northeast to northwesterly in the north.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be negligible.
Friday until SundayFine apart from the slight chance of showers near the Lower South East coast on Saturday and over southern coasts on Sunday. Mild to warm near the coasts grading to hot to very hot in the far north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
