Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 21/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system crossing southern Victoria will drift slowly northeastwards overnight and will be centred just off the NSW coast during Monday before moving over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A low pressure trough will move from South Australia towards western Victoria late Tuesday then will move across Victoria on Wednesday and early Thursday as the next high pressure system forms over the Bight.
Forecast for the rest of SundayMostly clear tonight with light winds.Monday 22 SeptemberEarly morning fog and frost patches inland. A mild to warm and sunny day with light north to northeasterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Tuesday 23 SeptemberEarly morning fog and frost patches in the east. A mild to warm and sunny day with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds and afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland coast.Wednesday 24 SeptemberAreas of rain and isolated thunderstorms extending from the west, but remaining dry over the far southeast until night. Generally mild with moderate to locally fresh northeast to northerly winds later tending west to southwesterly over western districts. Afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland coast.Thursday 25 SeptemberAreas of rain contracting eastwards with isolated showers to follow, mainly over southern and mountain districts. Possible thunderstorms over the northeast. Cooler fresh southerly winds gradually extending throughout.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Monday.Product IDV10310
