Bullish Mood In Lentils

VANCOUVER - Sep 13/14 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week's trading on a bullish note against news Canada's harvest is advancing at its slowest pace since 2010.

Progress since the provincial crop report has been equally slow because of wet and cold weather, but should make good progress in the coming week.

Forecasters are calling for sunny skies and midday temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius. However, overnight lows will be around two degrees, with the result that growers need to wait for dew on fields to dry before getting to work.

The short days will limit progress in many areas. Some fields are still saturated from recent rains, which could further delay progress in some areas.
