Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 20/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high [1030 hPa] near Tasmania will move eastwards into the Tasman Sea during the day, and will then remain stationary over the weekend. A low pressure trough will move into the west of the State on Friday, reaching eastern parts later Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine apart from the chance of isolated afternoon showers over the Flinders and Mid North districts and over the North East Pastoral south of about Marree. Cool in the southeast grading to warm in the far west with light northeast to northerly winds, moderate to fresh at times in the west.Friday 22 AugustFine apart from the chance of showers developing west of Ceduna after midday and reaching the west coasts of Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island in the evening. Mild grading to warm in the west. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times, shifting southwest to southerly west of Ceduna during the afternoon or evening.Saturday 23 AugustThe chance of showers developing over the agricultural area, more likely over the southern agricultural area and contracting to eastern districts in the evening. Mild with light to moderate northerly winds, ahead of a cooler, light to moderate southwest to southerly change extending from the west.Sunday 24 August
The chance of showers about the southeast districts, more likely in the south, contracting east and clearing during the evening. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning to midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm, increasing to 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts and ranges, and reaching 5 to 10 mm about the South East district.
