MELBOURNE - Aug 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system over the central Tasman Sea is moving east towards New Zealand and a high pressure system is moving towards Tasmania from the west extending a ridge across New South Wales. The high will move over the southern Tasman Sea by Thursday and is expected to be slow-moving over the next few days maintaining the ridge to the state's north coast. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPartly cloudy in the southern inland and in the far northwest. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scattered in the east. Southeast to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast.Wednesday 20 AugustIsolated showers north and central coasts and adjacent ranges, tending scattered on the coastal fringe. The chance of showers in the far west. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast in the morning.Thursday 21 AugustIsolated showers coast and ranges tending scattered on the coastal fringe. The chance of showers in the far northeastern inland. Partly elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds.Friday 22 AugustIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered on the coastal fringe. The chance of showers in the northeastern inland.
