Desi Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 2/14 - STAT -- Canadian Desi Chickpea markets finished the 2013-14 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 21% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Desi Chickpea was CDN$442.40 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $557.19 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $524.69 per MT in August, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $352.74 per MT in July.
