No 3 Red Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/14 - STAT -- Canadian No 3 Red Lentil markets finished the 2013-14 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 5% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 3 Red Lentil was CDN$13.75 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $14.40 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $16.00 per cwt in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $13.00 per cwt in July.
