Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 23/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is crossing northeastern Victoria. Another cold front is expected to cross southern Victoria early Thursday followed quickly by a weak high high pressure system which will reach the Tasman Sea on Friday. A further cold front will cross the State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers in the east and near the coast. Isolated thunderstorms clearing from the northeast. Isolated showers developing later in the far southwest. Morning fog patches. Fine in the north. A cool and partly cloudy day with mainly light winds tending northwesterly in the west.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Thursday 24 AprilIsolated showers in the south, scattered near the coast. Possible light showers in the north. Morning fog patches in the east. Cool to mild with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Friday 25 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches. Early frost patches then a cool to mild and partly cloudy day with light winds tending north to northwesterly in the west.Saturday 26 AprilIsolated showers developing on and south of the ranges. Possible showers over the northwest clearing during the afternoon. Cool to mild with mainly moderate north to northwesterly winds shifting southwesterly in the west during the morning and extending eastwards during the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.Product IDV10310
