MELBOURNE - Apr 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system is over the Tasman Sea. A cold front over western Victoria will cross most of the State today. Another cold front is expected to cross southern Victoria late Wednesday and early Thursday with a weak high high pressure system following across Victoria later Thursday, reaching the Tasman Sea on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers, mainly over southern and mountain districts, contracting eastwards. Fine over the far northwest. Cool to mild with fresh to strong north to northwesterly winds shifting southwest to southerly from the west during the day.Fire Danger - Low to moderate, reaching high in the northwest.Wednesday 23 AprilIsolated showers in the south contracting to the far east and southwest during the afternoon. Morning fog patches in the south. Fine in the north. A cool and partly cloudy day with light to moderate westerly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Thursday 24 AprilIsolated showers in the south, but scattered near the coast. Possible light showers in the far north. Morning fog patches in the north and east. Cool to mild with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Friday 25 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches.
