ETG Buys TW Commodities

TORONTO - Apr 21/14 - SNS -- ETG Commodities Inc. has purchased all the assets of TW Commodities Inc., a processor of peas, lentils, chickpeas and other special crops in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

The management team at TW Commodities will remain with ETG's new processing division.

ETG Commodities CEO Rav Kapoor noted that his company is a vertically integrated agricultural trading company established in 1967. The group owns and operates over 300 warehouses, procurement and distribution centers in agriculturally-rich areas and its operations comprises of commercial farming, procurement, processing, warehousing, transport, distribution and merchandising.

ETG Commodities entered in Canada in 2013, establishing an office in Toronto with a warehouse space of 16,000 square feet and storage capacity of 1000 metric tons (MT). In 2013, ETG Group procured and distributed more than 3.0 million MT of various different commodities including maize, pulses, wheat, rice, sugar, oilseeds, cashew nuts, coffee, tea, fertilizer and farm implements.
