Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1024 hPa over the Bight will extend a ridge of high pressure over the State on the weekend. A cold front is expected to move over the west and far south of the State on Monday. Another high will ridge into the Bight on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Moderate southwest to southeast winds.Saturday 19 AprilPossible isolated light morning showers over the south of the Lower South East. Early morning fog patches over the Nullarbor Plain. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the far northeast. Light and variable winds.Sunday 20 AprilPossible isolated showers about southern coasts. Early morning fog patches in the west. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north and west. Light and variable winds, tending moderate to fresh northerly in the far west.Monday 21 AprilPatchy rain over southern coasts and the South East district, tending to areas of rain in the south of the Lower South East. Possible isolated showers developing over the far west coast in the afternoon. Warm with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, strong at times in the south, ahead of a cooler moderate south to southwest change, reaching a line Mount Gambier to Adelaide to Tarcoola late evening.Tuesday 22 AprilIsolated showers south of Adelaide and possibly over the rest of the agricultural area and west coast. Mild, grading to warm in the far north. Light to moderate southerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday evening to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm over the Lower South East district.Wednesday until FridayPossible isolated showers over southern coasts, gradually extending over the west coast and southern agricultural area.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
