Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move across western Victoria this morning and reach the east this afternoon. A high pressure system will cross northern Bight waters on Friday, then move over Adelaide on Saturday to reach southern NSW early Sunday. Another weak cold front will move across Tasmania late on Sunday with a further front reaching western Victoria late on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayScattered showers in the far southwest extending eastwards during the day, mainly affecting southern and mountain districts. Mainly dry in the far northwest. Early morning fog patches in the east. Mild at first with moderate to fresh northwest winds ahead of a cooler fresh to locally strong southwesterly change in the west during the morning, extending to the east during the afternoon.Fire Danger -  High in the west.Saturday 19 AprilIsolated showers about the exposed coast and nearby land areas. A cool and partly cloudy day with moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh about the coast.Sunday 20 AprilIsolated showers, mainly about the coast and nearby land areas. Cool and partly cloudy day with light winds inland, moderate westerlies near the coast.Monday 21 AprilIsolated showers extending through western and central districts. Cool and partly cloudy with moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Friday.Product IDV10310
